Russian beauty

At first - I don't think I am beautiful. Why is the calling of this post "Russian beaty" then? It's kinda calling of my new photoshoot - awesome mix of winter mood, Russian traditions and waiting for holidays finally. Like an idiom. These pictures will surely show you the soul of my country.
Believe me, it was difficult to make this look holistic, completed, because, of course, in real life I don't wear such skirts, Pavlovsky Posad shawls or sheepskin coats.
Who was a photographer this time? All of you know her, again Jane (Yanina Ipatova), my dear friend. The previous time, as I wrote here, she took around 200 photos, but yesterday - 600! Imagine! We were frozen from top to toe and in the end, when we got our two cups of hot tea, we couldn't feel even the warmth at first, actually. But it was an amazing day.

We went to Izmailovo, really colorful place. When some of foreign tourists saw me there, they immediately started to take pictures! It was so funny :) as one of my friends said, soon I would be the star of instagram.

Personally, I'd like to live there.

A new fairytale.

Pre-New Year and Christmas fairytale

Imagine, New Year and Christmas are already so soon! Tomorrow is the first day of winter. So, my kinda congratulations because, personally, I love winter. Sometimes, it's really cold here, in Russia, but all this winter stuff like ice skating, tangerines, special mood before holidays and the snow itself - this all makes me feel fantastic.
So, back to the topic. Last Sunday my awesome photographer and friend Yanina Ipatova and I had a personal Pre-New Year and Christmas fairytale (as I called my post). We went to the studio and have had a photosession for 2 hours. You may say: "Not that long!" But Jane (it's an international short variant of name Yanina, so to call her this way should be easier) managed to take around 200 photos. And again you may say: "Not that many!" But I will answer - perfection and mastery aren't in numbers.
I changed 3 looks, but now gonna show you just one of them. Other 2 - closer to holidays.
That's all for now. Guess, photos will say everything better.

Autumn trip

Hey! Sorry, guys, that haven't posted anything for long, just was really busy with school, classes and other stuff. But from now I will try to change it.
By the way, maybe, I will also change the name of my blog. Why? Because I understood one thing: photography and modeling are important for me as an expression of myself, but other kinds or ways of art take a big place in my life too. So, guess, soon you will be able to know me not just through my photos.

And back to the topic.

Four amazing days of my school holidays I spent in Latvia, really nice country near Baltic sea. Actually, I just had a thing to do there, so at first I visited Kraslava, tiny town not far from the borderline between Latvia and Belarus.
I couldn't even think that I would see such a beautiful Catholic cathedral there. I've already posted this photo in my instagram (cathie_mint), but I was really fascinated... And some of you sure haven't seen it.
In such places all of us recognize the true nature of God, His true greatness. Of course, it's a really personal topic, so I won't impose my opinion and my view. But when I walked in, I really felt how my lungs started to fill with air. November coldness pervaded the whole my body even indoors, but it was the pleasant coldness. Personally, I'd spent more time there, but, unfortunately, was in a hurry...

During other three days I walked around Riga. Since the first look I fell in love with that city. Its gingerbread houses, stylized graffiti and art objects, cozy cafes and small restaurants, dark alleys, illuminated squares simply blew my mind! But, guess, my photos will explain you my condition and mood better.

It can seem strange or be just a coincidence, but when I've just arrived to the place where I lived there, during a short story about Riga, I was told to look upward more often. Now, examining taken pictures, I can understand why.

Here you are our first dance video of this season 2014-1015! Yeah, I know that I have to work, work and work and learn, learn and learn something new, but I am as I am for now, so, please, don't judge me harshly :) It was just one of trainings with our lovely group in Vortex, my dance centre. Actually, it's not connected with modeling or photography, but it gives me inspiration for everything I do... That's why I wanna post it here. Will be really glad to get your comments.

Back to the summer

Imagine, it's already October! Winter's coming... The time of snow (personally, for me), hot tea, great books. Now here, in Russia, almost all is covered with red, orange and yellow leaves, that's so beautiful and sad at the same time, because soon we will get up every morning to the cold world and get back home when it's dark outside again. Well, of course, there're also some positive sights of autumn - like Halloween and really bright colours of nature around us - and winter as well such as Christmas, very funny games to play with our friends like snowballs or an opportunity to go ice skating, skiing and snowboarding.
But I wanna go back to the summer, these days of happiness and freedom, new people, new places, new memories and... right, new photos to look at and remember how it all passed till the next summer, our summer 2015.
Of course, some of you saw my several shoots in instagram (cathie_mint) and shared with me those amazing moments. Actually, it's not a good idea to live in the past, but anyway it took place in our life and it's almost impossible to erase. However,

Don't waste your money for buying new clothes. Spend them for travelling. Agree that it doesn't matter how old your sneakers are, it they're touching roads of Paris.

I don't remember when exactly, but some decades or even centuries ago there was a rule that if a girl could go through that the narrowest road with the straight back, she would be married a guy she loved, and if no, she wouldn't be married until she would pass that "test". So, girls, who isn't scared? ;)

About me

At first I'd wanna tell you about myself a bit. I'm a normal, typical girl, who has lots of passions, dreams, desires. And as all of us sometimes I like sharing with somebody my emotions and things which happen in my life. For me the easiest way to do it is through photos (equally as photographer and as model). But it can be difficult to understand the idea of these shots, so I like writing too (and no, I'm not gonna be a journalist or a writer, I'm not so good at it and my English also isn't that perfect - forgive me, please (: - but I'm still learning).
Some of people who'll read it will probably ask why do I do it then? For what? As one of my friends said when I asked for advice like "To be or not to be?" - "To start a blog or not to start?": it's always good to try new things (thanks, Daniel). So I decided to follow this rule. It's kinda my way of creativity. Oh, right, and about creativity.. I suppose, one of me poems will describe my thoughts and feelings better:

Let's share emotions, believe, fall in love at the first sight or word,

We're children of sky and clouds, we're children of our Lord.

But even though he loves us, he gives us problems and losses,

Because, agree that sharp thorns are the part of the beautiful roses.

Let's visit new places, meet friends, tell secrets and do rash things,

We won't have time later, just now, today, so use rightly your wings.

We're full of desire, of passion. Look how the time flies away, 

There's no need to think, to doubt, to be scared, to cry, to stay.

The way to the stars isn't easy, remember it, please. Don't forget.

Be who are, who you wanna be, there's no need to regret.

I promise, dance under the rain and the sun will shine just for you.

You'll overcome all, simply be honest, be real, be true.

Life can stop every minute with this cold, really curdling "death".

So we should create memories, smile and laugh, and breath,

Watch how the spring comes, birds sing, how the snow melts -

You know, our souls are young, we can afford it to ourselves.
